Classes
Reformer Class
Reformer Pilates delivers a full-body workout that manages to feel incredibly challenging and therapeutic at the same time. Using the spring-loaded resistance of the Reformer, you will move through a flowing, low-impact sequence designed to build deep stability for your spine and joints, muscular endurance, and uniform strength. From athletes looking to cross train to individuals navigating injury recovery, the Reformer meets you exactly where you are. We offer three levels of reformer classes. BEGINNING Focused on mastering the fundamentals of the machine and proper alignment. If you are new to the reformer start with a beginning class. INTERMEDIATE This level introduces more complex coordination, quicker transitions, and a deeper strength challenge. ADVANCED a fast-paced, high intensity challenge designed for experienced practitioners looking to test their balance, endurance and control. Only sign up for an advanced class if you are very experienced.
Mat Class
Using your own body weight as a primary resistance, you will move through a series of exercises designed to fire up the powerhouse (core, glutes, and back). To mix things up and deepen the challenge, we often incorporate small props like magic circles, mini stability balls, and resistance bands. Emphasizes biomechanics, breath control, and proper alignment. Mat is the gold standard for developing deep, functional core strength. Because this can be modified with props, this class is for all levels. Wether you are a beginner or an advanced mover, you will find the perfect challenge.
Chair Class
The Pilates chair is the ultimate tool for building functional strength, athletic power and balance. Because it features a smaller surface area than the Reformer, it forces your core and stabilizing muscles to work twice as hard to keep you steady. Using a system of spring-loaded resistance pedals, this class will have you pushing, pulling, and balancing in ways that redefine pilates for you. You will move through a dynamic sequence of exercises performed sitting, standing, and lying down. The adjustable spring tension allows you to customize the resistance, making movements feel either beauitfully supported or intensely challenging.
Sculpt Class
We take the core-strengthening, allignment-focused principles of Pilates and turn up the volume by introducing progressive resistance. Using a mix of dumbbells, resistance bands, slider disc, and stability balls you will target major muscle groups while using the smaller ones you have been working on in PIlates to support the movement. Adding resistance training is an effective way to build bone health and keep your body burning energy long after class ends.
Ballet Barre Class
Channel your inner dancer-no dance experience required. This high-energy, low impact class combines the grace and precision of classic ballet technique with the muscle sculpting endurance of fitness barre. Moving to an upbeat playlist, you will use the ballet barre and light equipment to burn out major muscle groups through high repetition, small-range movements that build incredible strength and lean muscle. Prepare to embrace the shake! It is incredibly gentle on your joints while delivering a high-intensity burn with a great cardiovascular boost! The heavy focus on alignment and core engagement will leave you standing taller and moving with greater balance.
